Where to stay in Thornham Norfolk
Thornham is an old smuggling village on the north west coast of Norfolk off the A149 coastal road.  The village is made up of traditional flint and cobble cottages and some wonderful new builds with stunning views all set in a landscape of marshes and salt water lagoons. Secluded wide beaches with excellent sands can be reached after a mile long walk out along the Norfolk Coastal Path at Thornham.

During the 18th and 19th centuries Thornham benefited from a large harbour and was a popular place with smugglers, nowadays the harbour is greatly reduced in size. For bird watchers there is the RSPB Reserve at nearby Titchwell and for golfers the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club is a few miles along the coast at Brancaster.

Good selection of restaurants and cosy pubs serving fresh seafood and local produce including excellent mussels from Brancaster and oysters from Thornham.

A truly wonderful place for bird watchers, walkers and nature lovers.
