Sheringham beach is a blue flag beach on the Norfolk Coast in the UK. It is very family orientated and has a lifeguard patrol in the summer. You can hire a beach hut and it has a lovely promenade complete with toilets to stroll along. Barbeques are also permitted on the beach. However the large golden sand expanse is mostly covered during high tide so you need to check the times.
Sheringham is a traditional English seaside town within the county of Norfolk. It grew from an old fishing village and still a few boats bring in a daily catch. It is home to the North Norfolk Railway which operates steam trains to Holt. There is a twice weekly market and has many small shops ,pubs, restaurants and cafes. Its promenade runs in and out of low cliffs and offers great sea views. It is also home to beautiful woodland found in Sheringham Park. restaurants and tea rooms. It is a great location for a family holiday.
Sheringham Park is a woodland landscape park and gardens with miles of stunning coastal views. The park surrounds Sheringham hall and is in the care of The National Trust.
Sheringham Hall is a Grade II* listed building which stands in the grounds of Sheringham Park which is in the care of the National Trust.
Running from the resort of Sheringham to the Georgian town the Holt, The North Norfolk Railway is a steam train operated almost entirely by Volunteers. It is East Anglia’s premier heritage railway. Please check operating times on the website
Operated by volunteers and Located at the end of the promenade this lifeboat station is open to the public during the main part of the day.

The beach huts at Sheringham are close to the promenade and can enhance your beach holiday experience. The huts are hired out by The North Norfolk District Council. All of the lettings start on a Saturday.
There are a number of great beaches nearby including Cromer, West Runton and Wells next the sea.
Sheringham beach is not dog friendly during the summer months. It is a very busy beach when the tide is out, so it's best not to visit with your dog.
The Norfolk Coast Path runs from Hunstanton in west Norfolk round to Sea Palling on the north east Norfolk coast. The majority of this walking trail runs through the dramatic landscape of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It passes along the Cliff Tops at Sheringham.
East Cliff car park is ideal for the beach but is at the top of the cliffs overlooking the beach. Station car Park is large and near the North Norfolk Railway. It is around a ten minute walk away from the beach. There is also a very small car park close to the promenade, but this fills up very quickly.
Sheringham lies on the A149 just West of Cromer.
