What is a basic entry?
A basic entry is a half page advert and is the simplest entry level advertisement on this website. Its a FREE advert on our What to Do and Where to Eat index pages, and will also appear on our extensive location pages. They are usually submitted by the owners, but sometimes they are added by the editorial team, or suggested by visitors.

Can I advertise my Accommodation for FREE with a basic entry?
No. We only provide FREE standard entries to organisations that DO NOT offer accommodation.

Will the basic entry link to my existing website?
Usually it will. If your existing website is independent ( i.e. not a page or advert in another directory or on one of our competitors websites) and ONLY if it does NOT offer accommodation. Links are displayed within a frame so that visitors know that they found you on our website when you ask.

Will my Business Telephone and Fax numbers be displayed on the website?
Yes - We show all contact telephone numbers.

Can I have one of my own Thumbnail pictures on my basic entry?
It takes time to add a thumbnail picture, and because we don't charge for basic entries we ask for something in return. If there is a link on your website to our website then we will add a thumbnail picture free of charge. If you want a thumbnail picture without linking to our website then consider buying a ruby entry.

Why is there a banner advert on every basic entry?
Most of the pages on this site have a banner advertisement of one sort or another. A few promote our sales department, a few are used to generate revenue (which helps keep this site free) but mostly they are used in an exchange system. 

This exchange system means that this site is advertised on thousands of other sites, which is why it has so many genuine visitors. We know they are genuine because 98% take the time to look around, they don't just click in and click out again. 

Our new visitors have either found us in a search engine for the first time, or have clicked on one of our banner adverts on another site (which has made a Norfolk related offer) or they have been sent our web address by a friend who has visited the site.

What are the underlined words on the basic entries?
The underlined words (hyperlinks) are website services, when the visitor clicks on these links an operation is performed:

Location - Displays a location page.
Website – Links to your website if you have one.
Phone - Displays the Telephone number in both UK and Foreign Formats.
Fax – Displays the Fax number in both UK and Foreign Formats.
Email – Visitors can send you email.
Close – Closes the window.
Print – Prints your entry on the visitors printer.

What happens if there is a mistake on my entry?  
We will make corrections free of charge, if we (or you) have got something wrong.
Please check your entry when we have published it.

What happens when I want to change or update my entry?
Log on to the owners page with your security password and use entry maintenance form.

What happens if my email account or telephone number changes?
Log on to the owners page with your security password and use entry maintenance form.

What if I don’t like the end result? 
If you want an entry removed from this site, log on to the owners page with your security password and use the entry maintenance form to request removal.

I have forgotten my Account code!
Click on the owners link on your advert and it will be displayed. Click here to look it up by name.

I have forgotten my owners password!
Click on the owners link on your advert and request a reminder. It will be emailed to you. It is ALWAYS emailed to the email account associated with the account code for security reasons.

I did not get the password reminder when I requested one!
This is normally because you have changed your email address and have not told us, so we sent it to the last email address you provided. It could also be because your spam, bulk email blocker or other security software is blocking legitimate emails, please ensure you understand how your incoming email system works. We know we send them, but just like convention postal mail, sending is no guarantee of delivery. 

What is a standard entry?
A standard entry is what we used to call a basic entry.

How long does is it before my basic entry is up on the site?
