Taverham Mill sits in the extensive secluded private grounds of a former paper mill on the river Wensum, surrounded by arresting countryside. In season our guests are welcome to fish in the river free of charge.

There is ample private parking and guests are given a key to the B & B suite so they may come and go as they please. Guests are offered as much as they would like in the way of a Continental breakfast.

Three bedrooms are available, all with coffee / tea making facilities.

Two of the bedrooms are within a private suite which comprises of a separate guest entrance, bathroom (W.C. basin and bath with shower) sitting room / dining room with satellite T.V with DVD and a fridge, which guests are welcome to use.

 The ground floor bedroom has a wash hand basin, and is next to both the bathroom and the sitting room.

The upstairs bedroom has a double bed and a single along with a wash hand basin, mini fridge and T.V.

This room shares the private facilities downstairs.

Pubs and restaurants can be found close by and there is a Golf Club and Aquapark in the vicinity.

The Wensum Valley is one of the most attractive river valleys in Norfolk, it twists and turns all the way to the cathedral city of Norwich.
 
The mill is only six miles by road from Norwich, a medieval gem, dominated by a large Norman castle. Here you will find museums, galleries, theatres, cafes, fine restaurants and excellent shopping. 

A short drive from the mill is the area known as Broadlands, where guests can hire boats to explore reed lined waterways, windmills and nature reserves.

Pretty villages, bird reserves and the famously sandy beaches on the east coast are easily reached along quiet country roads. As are the more popular seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer.
