A trek across the marshes will eventually bring you to the sandy beaches of Stiffkey, the tidal line is often two miles from the village. The Norfolk coastal path (LDP) runs along the coast, there is a very small hide from which you can watch the wildlife or shelter from the elements on a long walk during the winter months.

There was once a harbour and quay here but this had long been silted up.

Summer months bring sea lavender and sea aster and lots of wading birds on this part of the coast.

Stiffkey has a Caravan park, a pub that provided very good seafood the last time I stopped for lunch a small store and a few self catering establishments.

You can walk to Wells or Morston along the coastal path.
