The village of Snettisham is located on the West Coast of Norfolk, close to the Royal Estate of Sandringham.  It is surrounded by fenland and bird sanctuaries with a large pebble and sandy beach located about a mile from the village.

The beach can be found down a pleasant lane opposite Station road, at the end of the lane is a car park and an RSPB reserve, which has many ponds and lakes that are popular for course fishing and bird watching.

In the winter months flocks of pink-footed geese fly over Snettisham Nature Reserve to roost on the Wash and it considered to be one of the most memorable natural sights in England.

The beach side of Snettisham has a large community of holiday chalets and caravans supported by seasonal shops.

Snettisham is an ideal base for exploring attractions such as the Queen's residence at Sandringham, the historic market town of Kings Lynn and the atmospheric ruins at Castle Rising. There are also many excellent walks and cycle rides in the area.

The village has a number of pubs and inns and a good selection of shops selling groceries.  For large supermarkets then visit the larger resort of Hunstanton.
