There is no easy way down to the beach at Sidestrand, a village that was made famous by Clement Scott who called this area Poppyland.

Even the old churchyard on the cliffs named by Scott  as 'The garden of sleep' was washed away by the sea.

Sidestrand is within an area designated as of 'outstanding natural beauty' and the coastal scenery is stunning with a backdrop of high cliffs typical of this area.
