I am often asked "which is the best walk out to the sea?" they are all good in one way or another but if I had to pick one, it would be this one.

There is a small car park down on the staithe, and a footpath runs along the sea defence and finally ends up looking over the bay you see above.

Its a fairly long walk and it is not straight, but its super. It cuts through salt marshes and creeks and leads you to a board walk with the sand dunes and beach beyond.

 Here you will find wide sandy beaches backed by high dunes covered in Marram grass.

 On these foreshore Little Terns nest, protected by a fenced off area at the appropriate time of year.
