Although you can walk out to a stunning tidal estuary, there is no beach at Burnham Norton, instead you will find brackish water marshes rich in bird life and fine views out across the marshy foreshore.

The main footpath from the small free car park leads you out to the mud flats, where the you can see the same bay that is described on the Burnham Over Staithe page but from the other side of the estuary.

This is a much quieter walk generally, it has not been discovered by most visitors so there are fewer people.
