There is not exactly a beach at Brancaster Staithe instead there is an attractive harbour, which is now only navigable to small pleasure crafts.

The village has a gentle pace of life with the emphasis on the water and water sports are encouraged with boats and canoes available for hire.

Scolt Head Island a Nature Conservation Area has the largest breeding colony of Sandwich Terns making it an ideal venue for the bird watcher, the island can be accessed from the harbour by small ferry boats which take visitors out to the reserve during the long summer months.

Brancaster Staithe has a local pub/inn The Jolly Sailor, a restaurant and The Fish Shed, which sells local fish, shellfish such as Winkles and Cockles along with meat, game, vegetables, home made preserves and bread.
