If we have not responded to your Email - We
Apologise. If we were able to answer your query we would have done so. If we can't answer a query, then we do not reply. We would really really like to respond to every email we receive but we sometimes get a 100 mails in a day. Although we are aware that this is not very polite, we just cant answer them all. We have helped lots of people with local information in recent years, and if we know the answer we will tell you, if we don't - we won't. Most of this adhoc help is provided by the webmaster, and she does NOT get paid for it, she does this in her own time, so you are depending on her personal generosity. |

Email is not a perfect system - More and more people are using email, and the mail servers in some companies get clogged up, and sometimes lose or delete messages before they are delivered. Email accounts have a size limit and when this is reached emails are bounced back to the sender. The anti-spam technology used by most internet service providers occasionally removes legitimate emails, and some email sources are blocked if they are identified as a source of spam. Sending does not mean it has been received. Just like the postal system. If in doubt wait a few days and try again. Anti Virus Measures - A small percentage of emails sent to us go missing, the main reason for this is that all emails we receive are checked to ensure they don't contain a virus. If they do, they are automatically deleted before we get them, and many home computers are infected with a virus without the owners realising. So if you find that your emails are not responded to, and not acted upon, this could be the reason. In an average week we get sent about 30 Emails that contain a virus.
