Cley Windmill was used by the BBC as one of their introduction back drops. It was built in the early 1800s and stands on what was once the quayside of Cley.

The mill continued milling until just after the first world war, then in 1921 it was converted into a holiday home and is now run as a guest house.

The timber sails have been replaced several times since the windmill was originally constructed. It now has no internal machinery, however it is well worth a climb to the top where you can survey the landscape of marshes, creeks and gullies. This mill is open to the public.
