Notice that the door is partly filled in at the top.  Unfilled it must have been around 14 feet in height. There is a romantic legend behind this high doorway.

It is said that it was designed to allow a knight in full armour to ride in on his horse to receive the blessing of the Holy Church.

A very spacious interior with a beautiful 15th century font. The bench’s have poppyhead ends of carved animals.
