Lots to See - Lots to Do

Hemsby-On-Sea is 6 miles from Great Yarmouth and just 4 miles from the Norfolk Broads, famed for its walking, sailing, fishing and wildlife.

There are several licensed clubs all within walking distance, which are available for the use of all holiday makers. These clubs provide family entertainment, dancing, nightly discos, children's rooms and play areas.

Hemsby has numerous supermarkets, gift shops, bingo's, swimming pools, restaurants, takeaways and a wide range of amusements, with something for everyone. If you like exploring then Hemsby is an ideal base for touring, the surrounding countryside has numerous attractions, providing entertainment for the whole family.

There is a frequent bus service from Hemsby to the larger seaside resort of Great Yarmouth. Great Yarmouth caters for all tastes from boat rides to bingo and tennis to talent shows. You can stroll along the sea front or relax in a deck chair. If the sunshine becomes too much then explore some of Great Yarmouth's museums and other indoor attractions or head for the shopping arcades.

In the evening when the beaches quieten down there's a whole range of night life from cinemas to theatres with star studded shows.
There are discos, night clubs and a casino, or just relax with a drink and enjoy the atmosphere of people having a great holiday.

Scratby is 2 miles from Hemsby and only 5 miles from Great Yarmouth, its generally a quieter resort than Hemsby. There are several indoor swimming pools and night clubs within a short distance of the Chalet. A small fee may be payable for access to some of these facilities, which are only available to holiday makers who are staying on the park. There are cliffs at Scratby which provide excellent views out to sea. Access to the beach is via a surfaced slope from the cliff top car park. There is a frequent bus service to Great Yarmouth from Scratby, similar to that offered at Hemsby. Scratby has a mini market, post office, restaurants, take away and local pub.
