Welcome to the Museums in Norfolk Group (ming) website

MING has five principal aims:

• To increase the public profile of museums.
• To share information and ideas with others.
• To increase co-operation with the County Museums Service.
• To raise the standard of Museums in the county.
• To provide a forum where private, trust, society and local authority museums can share common aims and objectives.

The Group represents the views of all museums in the county and provides training and activities which are relevant to the above aims.

Training days and seminars are run each year on subjects such as documentation, display, conservation, marketing and security.

These give an opportunity to learn new techniques and processes, as well as providing a forum to meet with others and exchange news and views.
