Projects recently completed by the Group include a guide to Museums in Norfolk for tourists and other visitors and an Education Directory for Schools detailing member facilities and relevance to the National Curriculum. Membership Professional support and advice is available through MING for members from the Norfolk Museums & Archaeology Service and the East of England Museums, Libraries & Archives Council (EEMLAC). This is especially helpful for museums interested in the MLA registration scheme. In addition to the training days members enjoy a full and varied social programme with visits arranged to members' museums throughout the summer as well as an annual Christmas social gathering. Members also receive a quarterly newsletter which keeps them up to date with recent events in the museum world in Norfolk and the UK. Associate Membership is available to groups such as Friends Organisations and Local History Societies who though not a museum support the aims of MING. Associate members would be eligible for the training and and social events but would not have voting rights. Currently subscription rates are: |
